Cryogenic equipment: what buyers ask
What does a supplier need to quote a dewar or cryogenic vessel?
At minimum: the cryogen, the capacity you need, the working pressure, how you will fill and withdraw liquid, connection types, the space and access route at your site (doorways, lifts, floor loading) and the documentation you require. The more precisely these are stated, the more comparable the quotations will be.
Why do quotes for similar-looking cryogenic equipment differ so much?
Equipment that looks alike can differ in usable capacity, insulation performance and evaporation (boil-off) rate, pressure rating, materials, included accessories and relief devices, certification, lead time, warranty and service support. Ask each supplier to quote the same specification so the comparison is like for like.
Which documents should I ask for?
Depending on the equipment, ask for material and test certificates, inspection or pressure-test records, the declaration of conformity and any relevant marking, operating and safety instructions, and cleaning or preparation records where the service requires them (for example oxygen service). Confirm which documents apply with a competent person.
Can DealMesh confirm that equipment is suitable or safe for my application?
No. DealMesh helps you structure the enquiry and compare offers. Suitability, safe operation and compliance must be assessed by a competent person for your application, and you approve the specification, supplier and purchase.
Does sending a request commit me to buy?
No. A request is reviewed before supplier outreach, quotations and availability are confirmed with suppliers, and nothing is ordered unless you approve it. There is no buyer platform charge.
Already have supplier offers?

What happens after you submit?
Sign in and submit your editable brief, or email it to us. DealMesh reviews it before supplier outreach. Missing details, supplier availability and delivery expectations need confirmation.
